B. PROCESSING AND STORAGE DURATION OF PERSONAL DATA, AND NATURE AND PURPOSE OF THEIR USE

1. General Use of Your Data

Your collected personal data will be processed exclusively for the specific purpose of participation in the event. The legal basis for processing is your consent. For mandatory events, the legal basis arises from your employment contract.

2. Type of Data

Please refer to the respective registration form for the specific data sets or the category of data sets.

3. Recipients of the Data

The recipient of the data you enter is our service provider AirLST, Seitzstraße 23, 80538 Munich, Germany, who processes the data for us as a data processor.

4. General Storage Duration

Your personal data stored by us will be completely deleted after the purpose for which it was collected no longer applies. This is generally 30 days after the event. Longer storage will only occur if we are obliged to store data for a longer period in accordance with Article 6(1)(1)(c) GDPR due to retention and documentation obligations under tax and commercial law (from the German Commercial Code [HGB], the German Criminal Code [StGB], or the German Tax Code [AO]). In this case, your personal data will be deleted after 10 years at the latest. Your personal data will only be stored beyond this period if you have given your voluntary consent to this in accordance with Article 6(1)(1)(a) GDPR.

Furthermore, the general storage duration of your personal data may exceptionally be up to 30 years if this is necessary for the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

Deviating deletion periods for individual data categories may be indicated within this data privacy information at the end of the respective category.

5. Data Security

All data you personally transmit is encrypted using the generally accepted and secure TLS (Transport Layer Security) standard. You can recognize a secure TLS connection by, among other things, the lock symbol in the lower area of your browser.

We also use suitable technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction, or against unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

C. RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT

You have the right:

  • Pursuant to Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR, to revoke your consent once given to us at any time. As a result, we may no longer continue the data processing that was based on this consent for the future;

  • Pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR, to request information about your personal data processed by us. In particular, you can request information about the processing purposes, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data have been or will be disclosed, the planned storage duration, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or objection, the existence of a right to lodge a complaint, the origin of your data, if it was not collected from us, and the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling, and, where applicable, meaningful information about its details;

  • Pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR, to demand the immediate correction of incorrect or incomplete personal data stored by us;

  • Pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR, to demand the erasure of your personal data stored by us, unless the processing is necessary for exercising the right to freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest, or for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims;

  • Pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR, to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data, insofar as the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful, but you refuse its erasure; we no longer need the data, but you need it for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims, or you have objected to the processing pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR;

  • Pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR, to receive your personal data, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, or to request its transfer to another controller;

  • Pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR, to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or work or our company headquarters for this purpose.

D. RIGHT TO OBJECT

Insofar as your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, you have the right, pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR, to object to the processing of your personal data, provided that there are reasons for doing so arising from your particular situation or that the objection is directed against direct marketing. In the latter case, you have a general right to object, which will be implemented by us without specifying a particular situation.
